Thom Richard: Owner/Chief Pilot
Thom has owned/operated Warbird Adventures Inc. for the last 26 years. Thom was born in Sweden and came to the United States at the age of 17 with one goal in mind; FLY WARBIRDS!
Thom has since amassed over 8000 hours of dual instruction given in the Texan alone.
Thom is an accomplished airshow pilot, performing shows across the country in the3 P-40 Warhawk, P-51 Mustang, Corsair, and FM-2 Wildcat just to name a few. Thom has also raced at Reno in multiple classes, including the Unlimited Class in his XP-51 Precious Metal.
Thom has a passion for helping others achieve their aviation goals and a passion for teaching classic stick and rudder skills. Thom also hold and A&P with IA certificate.
Wes Atteberry: Flight Instructor
Wes is 25 years old and has been a flight instructor at Warbird Adventures since 2019. He attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and volunteered for Thom on the weekends while he was there. Upon getting his flight instructor certificate, he started teaching for Thom and has since amassed over 1500 hours of instruction in the Citabria, Super Decathlon, and Texan. Wes has always dreamed of flying various WW2 aircraft ever since he was 5 years old. He is glad he gets to fly them at Warbird Adventures almost every day and live his childhood dreams so often.
Wes also flies 737s for Atlas Air and holds type ratings in the TBM Avenger and B-25 Mitchell.
